Recently, the band released an EP follow-up creatively named “Long Live the King,” which consists of songs that didn’t make it onto previous albums. While many view the EPs as a collection of songs that are not good enough for the record, this defies the stereotype EP.

Create the Decemberists have constantly been back themselves, especially over the past five years, however the band remained consistent in quality music being produced. Many bands tend to conform to the demands of pop culture after signing a record deal, but not them.

After signing with Capitol Records in 2005, the band began to explore other genres of music with the song, like heavy rock ballad “danger of Love” and “The King is dead,” which has a vibrant country.
